Isang masaya at kapanapanabik na weekend ang hatid ng TV5 at ng international affiliate nito, ang Pilipinas Global Network Limited (PGN Ltd.), sa mga kababayan natin sa Middle East. Sa isang pagdiriwang na binansagang “Give Me 5 Kapatid”, ang sikat na mga TV5 stars na sina Aga Muhlach, Ruffa Gutierez at Shalala ay lalahok sa isang engrandeng three-day event na gaganapin sa Dubai at Abu Dhabi.

Siguradong mapapaindak ang lahat sa hinandang number ni Aga Muhlach. Kamakailan lang ay nagpakitang gilas sa pagsayaw at pagkanta ang host ng Pinoy Exlorer sa katatapos na selebrasyon ng Wil Time Bigtime na ginanap noong Oktubre 22. Nagmistulang mini-concert ang performance ni Aga na labis namang ikinatuwa ng libu-libong fans na dumalo sa Smart Araneta Coliseum.

Mabibighani naman ang lahat sa kagandahan ni Ruffa Gutierrez. Ang kontrobersyal na host ng Paparazzi ay makikipag-chikahan sa mga Pilipinong sabik ng makabalita tungkol sa mga kwentong showbiz sa Pilipinas.

Makakasama rin nina Aga at Ruffa ang kwelang host ng Juicy na si Shalala. Tiyak na maraming katatawanan at “blind items” ang pasalubong ng komedyante para sa mga Kapatid sa Middle East.

Bukod sa Grand Fan’s Day ng mga TV5 stars, magkakaroon din ng Pinoy Explorer Promo, isang espesyal na screening ng Sa Ngalan ng Ina, at concert na pangungunahan ng Side A band sa Abu Dhabi National Theater. Isang international auditions naman para sa Talentadong Pinoy ang gagawin sa Boracay Club, Asiana Hotel sa Dubai sa November 5.

Ang “Give Me 5 Kapatid” ay isang pasasalamat sa mainit na pagtanggap ng mga Pilipino sa Middle East sa international channels ng TV5 – ang Kapatid TV5 at Aksyon TV International.

TV5, with the cooperation of Mr. Willie Revilame and WilProductions, Inc., has decided to stop the airing of the Willing Willie show for a period of 2 weeks starting April 11, 2011.

During this period, TV5 will dialogue and work with the MTRCB, KBP, PANA and other stakeholders to come up with appropriate guidelines that will apply to all networks and the entire industry with respect to the participation or use of children in talent, game and reality shows for television. TV5 will also complete the improvement of its internal guidelines and processes to achieve the same end.

Furthermore, the network will work with Mr. Willie Revillame and WilProductions, Inc. in order to improve the program and ensure that it will continue to bring fun and entertainment to its many loyal viewers.

TV5 reiterates its commitment to responsible broadcasting and vows to continuously enhance its programs as its way of serving the public and thanking its viewers for their unceasing support, trust and patronage.

Beginning Monday, April 11, TV5 will show "Primetime Super Sine" and "Magic? Gimik!" in the "Willing Willie" timeslot.

TV5 takes part in the nation’s history by going full force on the coverage of the grand 25th celebration of the 1986 EDSA People Power Revolution via a star-studded event titled “Tatak EDSA 25: Pilipino Ako. Ako ang Lakas ng Pagbabago.” A spectacular and poignant show that will be open to the public, Tatak EDSA 25 will be held on February 25, 7:30pm-10:00pm along White Plains Avenue, Quezon City. An exclusive telecast of the event will air on TV5 from 10:00pm-12:00mn.

By providing an extensive coverage and full telecast of the historic event, TV5 helps encourage unity and nation building, which the commemoration of the touching moments of the 1986 People Power hopes to spark among Filipinos. Through TV5’s Tatak EDSA 25 coverage and telecast, Filipinos who cannot physically come to the venue will still be able to be one with the nation in remembering and celebrating one of the most significant milestones in Philippine history.
