On May 1, the late Pope John Paul II will be one step closer to sainthood.
Pope Benedict XVI has decreed that his predecessor deserves credit
for the miracle of a French nun's recovery from Parkinson's disease,
which means he will receive beatification. The much-beloved pope,
who died in 2005, needs one more miracle to his credit
