TV5 signs up Alice Dixson for new primetime drama

Alice Dixson, an icon of timeless beauty in Philippine show business, is back in the country to star alongside Susan Roces, Alex Gonzaga and the stellar cast lineup of TV5’s first-ever primetime drama series, Babaeng Hampaslupa.

TV5 officially welcomed Alice as the newest Kapatid in a contract signing held recently. “Even before, we have been telling her that there’s a project waiting for her in TV5. We’re very happy that she’s now a Kapatid,” said Perci Intalan, TV5’s head of Creative and Entertainment Production.

Alice is set to take on a challenging role that will prove her mettle as a true dramatic actress in TV5’s newest primetime offering. “I’m expecting a lot of fun in Babaeng Hampaslupa. I know it’s going to take a lot of hard work but I also know that I’m in good hands because I’ll be working with the best directors and creative team. I’m comfortable with both Eric Quizon and Joyce Bernal who are the directors of this exciting project,” Alice shared during the story conference of the series where she first met all the people she would be working with.

Babaeng Hampaslupa is the first comeback project of the former beauty queen-actress after leaving the country in 2005 to settle in Vancouver, Canada with her husband. Despite the six years she spent away from the country, she is still regarded as one of the most beautiful faces in Philippine showbiz. She first had her taste of popularity when she delivered her classic “I can feel it!” line in a soap commercial that aired in 1987. From then on, she became the favorite leading lady of some of the biggest names in both film and television.

Premiering in February this year, Babaeng Hampaslupa also stars Jay Manalo, Freddie Webb, Bing Loyzaga, Celso Ad Castillo, Karel Marquez, Alwyn Uytingco, Mart Escudero, Diane Medina, Susan Africa, Vandolph and Jenny Quizon.
